Team 2872 is The Wheatley School's robotics team that competes in the annual FIRST Robotics competition. For the past ten years, we have competed in the FIRST SBPLI Regional Competition at Hofstra University. For the first five years of our existence, we ran as a class open to seniors who had completed our school's computer science track. Recently, the team was turned into a club open to all High School students in order to grow and promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) within our school district. Team 2872 has had moderate success in recent years, reaching the playoffs in 2 of the past 3 competitions. With recent improvements to our club's infrastructure and technology, as well as the experience of many current members, it is our hope and goal this year to win our regional competitions and continue on to the National Championship in Detroit, Michigan!
